Can the World Ever Unite?
9/27/2008.
The world can never unite.
Sorry, all the humans of the world could never unite as 1. We all eat, sleep, and drink water, but that just doesn't cut it.
Primarily, the reason the world could never unite is because there is no rational way to decide what to have faith in (or lack of). And because of that, the world could never have 1 religion (or lack of). The world could never unite for as long as there are multiple religions in the world.
This primarily has to do with the fact that if something has been that way for a long time, it should say that way, so primitive humans have been irrational as a whole, and as a whole, we could never fully progress for as long as there are those that want to stay irrational.
As an example, if something has been that way for 5,000 years, there will always be someone that wants to keep it that way. Look at how many centuries it took for the Galileo story, and unless the strong conquers the weak, it could not happen in 1 day.
Also, the world could never have 1 religion for as long as people are of different skin color. Sorry, but the idea of having a religion of all White-skin for all light skin and dark skin to believe in, just never works.
There has not yet been 1 religion of multiple skin colors and races in it. Christianity, has mostly Jewish people and no Blacks or Asians. And so and so forth.
Also, the world can never totally unite for the fact that the world isn't 1 gender.
There are so many reasons why the world could never unite with 2 genders.
The classic example is the fact that, in pre-school, we have different bathrooms for different genders. This became the continued trend in elementary school, middle school, and high school.
You would think that at the adult world, genders could finally unite? No. In fact, not even in police stations, do they have a bathroom for all genders.
No society can be equal between the genders, as much as one tries. There is an inherent biological and psychological difference between the genders, that makes such a stance impossible. The idea of gender equality is a myth, that often relies on imagined 'equality' where one gender gets discriminated against the other.
The best form of equality is a fair compromise, like those in European societies.
For all the world to unite would certainly require everyone to be the same skin color / same race, same religion (or lack of), and same gender. But, we would still be bummed out about those that are fat or those that are gifted or those that are rich.
Unfortunately, no matter how much people have, it burns up some people that others have more. Therefore, they must have as much as everyone else, or there will be trouble.
While people are created equal, they are not created identical. Some have better musical ability. Some have better looks. As a result, even in a perfectly fair world, some will do better than others. (There's also a lot of luck.)
To even out the results and keep the people who can't live with others having more then them happy would require constantly slamming down those who, by luck or skill, excel.
So it seems there is no way to unite the world. Those that don't do as well will not allow those that do better to have more. Nobody would be happy if we constantly tried to equalize everyone's results, for example by giving music lessons only to those who "really need them" because they are the worst at music.
