6 Reasons Why I Don't Go to Church

11/12/2009.

1.I'm against only going to 1 church.

I'm not for going to the same church and meeting the same people. I prefer going to multiple churches. So maybe every Sunday, take 1 church at a time. So if I go to 5 churches, every 5 Sundays I get to go to all of them.

If I decide to go to church, which will somehow refute all the below reasons, I will go to several churches.

To some extent, I feel people are bigots if they only go to the same church and are not open to going to new churches.

2.Because the idea is to be the church, not go to church.

3.Because I'm single.

If I go to a new church and I'm a single male, it becomes unethical for me to go to church. The exception to this is if I'm 6 years old, have been going there since childhood, or my parents or siblings or family members go to, or are associated with the church, or no longer become single (and therefore go as a group).

4.Because I love humans more than I love god. So why go to church just for the social networking? And being single?

5.<Reason withheld> And no amount of prayer can resolve that. Really.

6.Oh yeah. Because I'm an atheist. But this is the least important 1 (if they discriminate me for that, they either are or are not bigots).

If they are bigots, then they admit Christianity is a religion, and therefore, their church is like a cult. A tribalistic religion. A form of tribalism.
