Contacting ISPs
This is an e-mail I sent to an Internet Service Provider - Comcast. I sent them via their inquiery forms on their site.
Not sure if this is the right place to contact. I'm interested in contacting a user whom was using your ISP. I'm not particularly requestion the user's e-mail address, since it may be none of my business, but it would be nice if you could relay a message to the user if you were willing. Scenario: A kid goes to a Pokémon website, and enters the chatroom (IRC). He is kicked by an operator. The operator used the f word in the kick comment. The father of the child then sent a private message complaint to the operator regarding this. He was upset at the priviledges he let the child enter upon the site. The chatroom operator did not respond to the private message. In a way, I would like to give the father an the family of the child some sympathy. The chatroom had rules of no swearing, nevertheless the chatroom operator used profanity in the ban kick message. Because this event happened on an IRC network tha hosts IPs, the IP address of the person would be unknown to me unless I had the help of a network operator. This happened in the chatroom #SPP on irc.dejatoons.net. The website was www.serebii.net. The user was from Virginia. This was the host that I could retrieve from a /whowas. deja-749E1F2.hsd1.va.comcast.net Since the ISP logs what a person types, here is what the father typed: <Captain_Chris> Hm.<SPPGuest9398> am I chating directly with you <Captain_Chris> <SPPGuest9398> I am the father of a person you booted a few min ago for asking a question hse has never asked before <Captain_Chris> <SPPGuest9398> and you used profanity in your tag <Captain_Chris> <SPPGuest9398> when I let my children come to this web site I do not expect them to be cursed at especially the F*** word. <Captain_Chris> <SPPGuest9398> Thanks for your time since I see you are not willing to respond. I will let you go for now. <Captain_Chris> lmao The father was SPPGuest, the other user was pasting his private message conversation to the public. Well, I hope you can do something about this. I'm interesting in contacting the father somehow, and he can disclosed to me by e-mail. This happened around 3:10 P.M. CST. Thank you.
